Property Description
Come and enjoy our spacious 2 Bedroom 2 Bath condo on the 12th floor of beautiful Surfside Resort located in the Miramar Beach section of Destin, FL. Our southeast ocean view from our 8' x 28' private balcony is unobstructed by buildings and breathtaking!
We get the morning sun and afternoon shade so enjoy your morning coffee out on the balcony and return later to relax in the afternoon shade. All rooms have balcony access due to the unique floorplan of this unit. Our interior is all tile flooring with comfortable and family friendly furniture and decor.
We completed a total renovation of our condo at the end of 2004 including all tile flooring, new appliances and new furniture. We also made it handicapped and wheelchair accessible.
Pool deck features a large heated pool, a kiddie pool, 2 hot tubs, and a bath house with bathrooms, showers and saunas. Tiki Hut service is available for food and beverages.
Surfside Resort and our condo are kid friendly and family oriented. We get good feedback about how comfortable our condo is for families to come and relax for vacation. We'd love to have you as our guest!
Condo Features:
Huge Master Suite has a king size bed, cable tv, walk-in closet, dressing/vanity area, and sliding glass door access to balcony. Bathroom features a walk-in/roll-in tiled shower, roll-under sink, and full size washer/dryer stack.
Second bedroom has two double beds, cable tv with built-in DVD player, large closet and sliding glass door access to balcony. Bathroom features shower/tub combo. The second bedroom can be locked out from the rest of the condo and has its own entrance.
All linens provided including soft 300 thread-count sheets.
Living room has queen sleeper sofa, cable tv, DVD/VCR player, stereo with CD player, puzzles, games, books for kids. Pac 'n Play bed also available.
Full kitchen has updated appliances, Silestone countertops, breakfast bar, eating area; all cooking and serving items furnished.
Sorry, NO pets and NO smoking.
Rental Info:
We will accept a personal check, money order, cashier's check or Pay Pal. $250 deposit confirms your reservation and then converts to a refundable damage deposit. Rental payment is due 30 days prior to your arrival.
Sat-Sat (7 night) stays required during peak season and 3 night minimum all other. Check-in is 3:00 pm and check-out is 10:00 am.
If you would like to book a reservation, I will email you 3 short rental forms and ask you to complete them and mail them to me along with your deposit.
Surfside Resort is one of the premier resort locations in Destin. Located in the calmer, less congested Miramar Beach section of Scenic Hwy 98, Surfside offers covered parking, interior hallway access to condo units, and 24 hour security. Surfside's lobby and hallways have recently been remodeled with beautiful new flooring and decor.
The pool deck features a large heated pool and sun bathing area overlooking the ocean, two hot tubs, a kiddie pool, and a bath house with mens/ladies showers and saunas. A private (and safe) skybridge leads directly from the pool deck over the road to a 3 level beach tower which provides access to the famous sugar white sand and emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
Surfside offers a great sports deck with lighted tennis, basketball and volleyball courts, plus a BBQ area with picnic tables. Play golf next door at Seascape or at any of the other 7 courses within a 5 mile radius!
If you're a shopper, you'll be happy to know that Surfside is only one mile from the Silver Sands Designer Outlet Mall and less than 5 miles from the new Destin Commons shopping mall.
Surfside Resort now offers FREE WIRELESS INTERNET connection and has added a FITNESS room with gym equipment.
As of February 2009, Surfside welcomes "Rick's Crab Trap" restaurant conveniently located on the 1st floor near the pool deck. No need to leave the building to eat a great meal!
There are also several outstanding local seafood restaurants on the beach within 2 miles of Surfside. The closest one is Pompano Joe's which is only 1/2 a mile away. We also recommend The Crab Trap and The Back Porch. Even if you are not a seafood lover, you will have no problem finding a great restaurant featuring the type of cuisine you are looking for!
Surfside's TIKI BAR offers poolside beverage & food service and beach bar beverage & snack service during Spring & Summer months.
Handicapped Features
If you or someone in your family needs true wheelchair accessibility, you've come to the right place!
We completed a total renovation at the end of 2004 and made our condo as accessible as we could to accommodate wheelchair users. We widened doorways, put in all tile flooring, made a roll-in shower and roll-under sink in the master suite, installed a roll-under & height adjustable sink in the kitchen and even bought a wheelchair friendly refrigerator with the freezer on the bottom.
We also have a custom-made ramp that can easily be set up and removed for access to the balcony. Balcony access is a neccessity for all guests. You can spend hours out there relaxing and enjoying the awesome view, eating meals, reading, sunning, etc!
The accessibilty features we added should be mostly transparent to the able-bodied guest. So if you don't need wheelchair access, don't worry about it. We just wanted to provide a comfortable, enjoyable, hassle-free vacation place for all of our guests including those with physical challenges!
- Kitchen sink is roll-under and also height-adjustable!
- Shower/commode chair available for free use if needed.
- Removable grab bar/toilet aide can be set up and then stored back in closet when not needed.

We can provide you with a contact for renting a beach wheelchair (daily or by the week) during your stay. The chair will be delivered to you and later picked up from Surfside.
