WELCOME TO MOUNTAIN ELEGANCE
Mountain Elegance is a charming 2000 square foot cottage nestled on a mountainside overlooking the Great Smoky National Park in Western North Carolina. The scenic road up to the mountain from the nearby town of Bryson City winds along the picturesque Tuckasegee River.
Mountain Elegance provides you with the perfect location to experience all the beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains whether you enjoy the many outdoor activities offered in the area such as rafting on the Nantahala River, hiking in the Great Smokies, boating and fishing on Lake Fontana, biking the Tsali Trail or just relaxing on the porch swing. From the porch you can actually watch the beauty of the hawks dipping and diving with the Great Smoky National Park as your backdrop.
Mountain Elegance is immaculate and professionally decorated with hard wood floors on the lower level, modern kitchen appliances and new furniture throughout.
All of our guests receive a complimentary bottle of Champagne or sparkling cider at check in. Please let us know your preference. We are honored to have you as our guests and will strive to make your experience memorable.
AMENITIES
Mountain Elegance offers spacious living with a large great room charmed by a beautiful wood burning stone fireplace, Dining Room, Breakfast Bar, 3 bedrooms, 3 baths and a loft. The cottage comfortably sleeps 8 guests with a King Size Bed in the Master Bedroom, Queen Size Bed in the 2nd bedroom and twin beds in the 3rd bedroom located on the second level as well as a loft with a Trundle Day Bed that sleeps 2. Two sets of high quality bed linens are available for each bed.
Prepare your meals in our fully equipped modern kitchen with all new appliances, utensils and cookware or use our 6’ outdoor stone charcoal barbeque grill. Two picnic tables are available near the grill to take in the mountain air as you enjoy your feast. Don’t forget to light up the outdoor wood burning fire pit to take advantage of those beautiful mountain evenings. You can buy all your groceries in the nearby town of Bryson City.
Additional Amenities include: Full porch with 4 wooden rockers and porch swing, Central Air Conditioning and Heating, Satellite TV, DVD Player, CD Player, Telephone, Washer and Dryer. Bath Towels, toilet tissue, hand soaps, hand creams, candles and hair dryers are provided for each of the three bathrooms.
LOCATION
Mountain Elegance is located at 370 Nicholas Road in Tuckasegee Highlands
approximately 4 miles from Bryson City.
From Asheville, NC – approximately one hour. Take I-40 west to Exit 27 (the Great Smoky Mountains Expressway). Continue West on US 74 past Waynesville, Sylva and Dillsboro to Bryson City. Exit 67 is Veterans Boulevard (Downtown Bryson City).
From Atlanta – approximately three hours.
From West Atlanta, take I-75 north to I-575 north, which becomes Georgia route 5. At Blue Ridge, GA, turn left (west) on to Route 60 and travel 1.5 miles to Mineral Bluff, GA. Turn right on to Route "60 Spur" and travel approximately 12 miles to the junction with US 19/74. Turn right (east) and proceed on US 19/74 through Murphy, NC, Andrews, NC and the Nantahala Gorge to Bryson City. The drive from Murphy to Bryson City is approximately one hour.
From East Atlanta, take I-85 north to I-985, which becomes US 23, which becomes US 23/441.You1ll pass through Clayton, GA, Franklin, NC and Dillsboro, NC. Just past Dillsboro, take US 74 (the Great Smoky Mountains Expressway) west to Bryson City.
From Knoxville, Take I-40 east to exit 407 and proceed south. At Sevierville, TN, take US 441 south through Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park to Cherokee, NC. At Cherokee, take US 19 south to Bryson City. Depending on traffic, the drive from Knoxville to Bryson City can be from 2.5 to 4 hours.
