Property Description
Dreaming by the River is a romantic Bed and Breakfast overlooking the Caney Fork River where it meets the Cumberland River. An Inn was built here in 1787, associated with a ferry which crossed both rivers. Today, a new Inn provides comfort in this anchient, unspoiled area. The old river road, shaded by grand old trees, provides a ¼ mile river walk into an earlier century. Real seclusion and serenity, with I40 only 4 miles away and Nashville less than an hour.
Over 5 acres provide areas of solitude for two to enjoy river, pastoral, and wooded views, flowers and native plants. The screened porch provides the breakfast space with stunning river views. A guest kitchen has a microwave, morning coffee, and refrigerator space for your drinks.
Dreaming by the River is a smoke-free facility. However, smoking is allowed on the screened porch and deck. The Inn overlooks the Caney Fork with bluffs up to 40 feet; so, only responsible children, 14 or older may accompany their parents as guests.
All quest rooms have their own in-suite full baths and large closets. All are upstairs and accessed via the curved oak stairway. All have windows overlooking the River. Wireless Internet is available through-out. Standard price includes breakfast for two with minimum two nights stay. Mid-week stays of 3 or 4 nights enjoy a 10% discount except during holidays. State and local taxes apply.
